Finding the perfect 'Stud' for our Dams is easier said than done! There are so many factors to consider to ensure that you get the best mix of temperament, bloodlines, health and beauty.
We feel very lucky at the GVP to be approached by studs all the time who would love to work with us. This is absolutely down to our ethos around how we nurture and bring every single puppy into the world. Our Dams have impeccable bloodlines, health and temperaments and every single GVP Puppy comes with outstanding breeding credentials.
We pride ourselves in ensuring every single stud we choose is the perfect 'match' for each of our Dams - this suitability process is critical to the breeding process. As an assured breeder The GVP believe it is not just about health tests, (these are a given and we would not breed with any Stud that hasn't got 'en point' health tests). It's more than that, we consider the environment the stud lives in, their temperament, the bloodlines, their general health and above else we are adhering to breeding standards - always looking to improve the breed and add to the gene pool in a positive way. We breed puppies that are naturally inquisitive, nurtured in a family environment and at their core are hunting dogs. This means that in addition to your puppy being a family pet, the GVP puppies are all capable to work or show should you wish to go down this route.
Every single stud we use, we also question - 'are we improving the gene pool?'.
For Litters egy & ketto we chose to partner with Nicael Sawyer (Riley) and it was the 'match made in heaven'. With his outstanding bloodlines, a mating co-efficient rating of 2.3% (well below the 4.7% required for this breed), his health checks and above all his nature and temperament made Riley the perfect choice. He is father to our very own stud Jasper. He came from a loving family background, His colouring is darker to Miss Psylocke which has meant the puppies produced from their litters were vibrant, rusty and true to what Vizsla's are known be.
For Litters három & ot we partnered with a beautiful boy called Reidolvalley Coz im Worth it (Merlin). I personally took the trip to Ashby de la Zouch to meet him over the summer. He is a beautiful boy, with incredible temperament and first and foremost is a family pet. The co-efficient rating is 0.0% (below the breed average of 4.7%) for both the Dams and he has sired some beautiful puppies.
Litter negy - we used our very own stud Gingerviz Earl of Easthill (Jasper) who is a beautiful stud with an outstanding temperament. First and foremost he is our family pet and is as happy on our laps as he is in the field. He comes with 18 generation pedigree along with outstanding health tests and a very low COI at 2.3%.To find out more about Jasper head over to his dedicated page (click link above). Jasper sired Litter 4 with Saffron. If you are looking for a stud then please click the link below to enquire about Gingerviz Earl of Easthill.
Litter hat - we used the beautiful boy Vadaszfai Zsivaly (Levi). The co-eff is 3.2% and this pair mating is super exciting for The GVP as both these dogs are direct imports from Hungary so will produce outstanding bloodlines.
Litter hét - we used our very own stud Gingerviz Earl of Easthill (Jasper) who has produced some studding litters. Nova & Jasper paired very well together and we are excited to see what this pair mating brings. The co-eff is 1.6%.
Future Litters (kilnec, tiz & tiznegy) - we will always keep looking at the gene pool and bloodlines to ensure we are breeding the best possible lines. We ensure we are keeping the lines as fresh and close to the impeccable breeding lines we have offered in the past and will continue to do so. The current Stud's we offer are based on the bloodlines, the temperaments and the co-efficient scores across both our Dams and the Sires. We adhere to KC recommended breeding governance and ultimately we breed to improve The GVP Club pool overtime.
