THE DAMS

The GVP KC Dams are our pride and joy!  Our journey started with Coco who is now the Matriarch of the GVP Crew and is retired.  We have 3 girls now in the GVP crew these are Saffron, Remi and Nova.  We get asked do we love any of them more than the other, simply the answer is 'no' we love them all the same, just differently - each of them have their quirks, their naughty bits and their cute bits!

Every single Dam at the GVP Club has been carefully selected and nurtured in our GVP way.  ALL our girls are from impeccable bloodlines all health tests are en point and their temperaments are a good mix of family / loving / 'velcroness' /hunting whilst also having a slight air of independence about them.  Their hunting instincts are always there and its important with gun dogs to ensure you train hard for recall so if they do get a scent they will always come back.

The last 7 years have been super exciting for us, finding the perfect Dam for breeding is no easy task.  We have a responsibility to ensure that each and every single Dam we breed from is adding to the gene pool and improving the breed lines whilst ensuring we keep to the heritage of the Smooth Coat Vizsla.  This is why we chose to import both (Remi and Nova) direct from a reputable kennel in Hungary as we feel that the UK has become saturated by UK bred Vizsla's and we always want to ensure we put the breed standards at the heart of every single litter we produce.
