WAITING LIST CRITERIA

We are often asked what The GVP criteria is for applicants submitting an application form.  Firstly it isn't just about the date you submit your application form, many other factors are considered.  At The GVP we are committed to ensuring that each and every single one of our puppies go to a suitable home and although the list (below) is not a definitive one (as our Teams vetting process is the final stage of becoming a confirmed wait list applicant) it gives you an idea of what we are looking for, so if you do decide to fill-out an application form (under the waiting list application section) please take the points below into account.

The GVP consider:

  • You are serious about owning a Vizsla

  • You have considered the commitment you are taking on (if you are unsure then this breed probably isn't suited to you)

  • Knowledge of the breed and characteristics

  • Working arrangements and how your Vizsla will be cared for when/if you are at work

  • Young (under 2 years old) children in the household - this doesn't rule you out, but other applicants may take priority due to their circumstances

  • Vizsla's are Velcro by name, Velcro by nature - be sure you understand this

  • Date applicant submits applications - this is considered if all things are 'even' and it will come down to date submitted

  • What consideration you have put in to training

  • Returning GVP clients take priority
